The LANCASTER COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER IS NOT ANIMAL CONTROL.
If you have information concerning strays, unrestrained or dangerous animals, please contact Animal Control at the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department at 803-283-3388, (Option 4).
The primary function of the Lancaster County Animal Shelter is to house and care for stray and surrendered animals. If stray pets are not claimed after a 5-day stray hold, the animal becomes the property of Lancaster County and are offered to animal rescues and to the public for adoption.
