Fix Your Pit Shot Clinic a Big Success!

February 23, 2019

LSPCA First Spay/Neuter Assistance Program began with a shot clinic so all pits taking advantage of this program will be up to date on shots and wormed prior to their surgery. We have 50 Lancaster County residents signed up. We are very grateful to Dr. Brent Glenn with Faulkner Animal Hospital for heading up our shot clinic, Alan Williams ( shelter) and Joel Hinson (AC) coming to help and the wonderful caring volunteers with LSPCA. The Assistance Program will be with three local vet offices: Faulkner Animal Hospital, Southern Paws and Healthy Pets.

Donations to the LSPCA make programs like this possible. We are needing more donations so that we can provide shots and spay/neuter for even more dogs to help prevent more unwanted animals in the country.

We appreciate all our supporters. We plan to make a difference in 2019 with education and spay/neuter.

Get your Pit Fixed March Special! Only $20 each dog!

January 17, 2019

***Attention all Pit Bull and Pit-mix owners in Lancaster***

PIts and pit mixes are overbred in Lancaster and our shelter is completely full of pits that will probably never be adopted and most end up being euthanized to make room for more. Such a sad, sad cycle. LSPCA is trying to help control their numbers and relieve the overrun shelter by offering a special low price to have your pit or pit mix spayed or neutered.

For the entire month of March 2019, LSPCA is offering a special low price of $20 spay/neuter cost for all Pit Bulls and Pit-mix dogs residing in Lancaster County. The fee of $20 for the spay/neuter surgery will cover the surgery and pain medications at any one of our veterinarian partners. Vaccinations and microchip are also available at reduced cost. The $20 Spa/Neuter fee will apply only to Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes during the month of March.

In order to qualify for the special rate, please fill out a Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Application on our website as soon as possible. You will be contacted by our coordinator who will provide you with a voucher and list of participating veterinarians where the surgery can be scheduled. Note that payment for the spay/neuter will need to be paid to the veterinary hospital at the time of surgery.

Owners of other breeds are welcome to apply for low-cost spay/neuter at the regular rate of $30 for cats and $40 for dogs.

Please contact LSPCA with any questions.
